This episode is kind of like "My Character, Let Me Tell You Him!" but a lot less...coherent and without a point. Basically, I have Burning fever and we recently designed a new world and situation for a campaign with new players. I talk about that, and the fact that I was having trouble picking a character so I started burning toons up until one stuck. A couple funny Burning Wheel creation notes- For the court sorcerer, we went Born Noble=>Student=>Arcane Devotee=>Court Sorcerer=>Court Jester. Now what I want to happen is to have Shaun not take the Gifted trait, making this guy a complete charleton. Okay, I had another interesting tid bit, but my brain just powered down. I'm sure I talked about it. Show Link: 10min.libsyn.com/excuse-me-is-my-nerd-showing-Edit: Tim called it. Wrong description. Wrong show. This show is about how much "horror" games suck at being scary and why Dread works as a horror system. Sorry kids!

Me being me, I had to go see if taking those lifepaths and not taking Gifted is even legal.
And damn my eyes, it's legal. Go for it.

This totally seems to be a different description than the show I listened to with the same title... sooo... I'll comment on the show I heard?
I'm going to slightly call you out on the whole "X game system isn't a horror game / can't scare people" Very few games are going to scare me either. However, saying any given system can't scare people is like saying books can't be scary. They aren't by themselves scary and some will be more likely than others, but it can happen, you just have to find the way to do it.
That said, I totally want to play Dread someday, sounds like a blast.

HA! sorry about that, I was horribly confused for a few seconds, because I was thinking "Well... the description DOES sound like something I've heard her say, but not 15 minutes ago..." for a second I was worried about memory loss.
